Workshop Boutique (our first shop, closed in 2021) opened its doors amidst quite a bit of laughter and support, along with just the right dose of chaos, in Ottawa's Byward Market in April 2005. We put the finishing touches on our (then) teeny-tiny shop and had an amazing and fun opening party, complete with goodies, friends, and our very first sales. Then, following day, we had to close the shop to get our tax returns done. It was a classic Bridget and Christina beginning. (-: Back then (almost 20 years ago now) we were both independent women designers who wanted to live and do our thing in Ottawa, a city not traditionally known for fashion. We wanted an outlet to sell our creations. We also wanted a place where we could spend our money according to our ideals. A place where you couldn’t go wrong: where beautiful things were handmade, local, sustainable or a combination of those things. We also wanted our shop to be crafty and to represent our personal style. We wanted a shop full of things that would make us smile, gifts that were fun and functional, and clothes that would make us want to rip them off the mannequins and take them home with us. So, we decided to create that place. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. (-: What are we all about? Flock Boutique, our shop in Wellington Village, is full of pieces that we love: picnic-approved dresses, bold skirts, adorable housewares, flattering tops & all manner of unique & fun jewellery. When we find something we love, our first question is always: where was this item made? We believe in ethical production & in sustainable fashion, which is why we carry the work of over 100 independent Canadian designers & makers between the shops. We are committed to Canadian-made and believe in the uniqueness of what we sell. We also strive to connect the makers of our products to the people who buy them. Our staff are the actual superwomen hand silkscreening our vintage-inspired Canadiana images onto ethically made tees & turning putty into jewellery in all kinds of great geometric shapes. We are so proud of them. The last 19 years have been like a dream for us: we spend our days with strong, happy, engaging feminist women - staff & customers - who share our values and believe in what we are doing. Shipping & Returns

SHIPPING We offer free shipping within Canada on all orders over $250 CDN (before tax) For orders under $250, Canadian shipping is $15. Once your payment has cleared, your order will be shipped. We try our best to ship within a few days, but occasionally the shops are so busy that we aren’t able to get to the post office. We promise that your package is very important to us and we will get out as quickly as we can! We ship with Canada Post regular mail or light packet service, depending on size and weight. Packages within Canada and to the USA will not be shipped with insurance or a tracking number. If you require insurance or a tracking number, please contact us prior to ordering. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE? Orders within Canada normally arrive within 10 business days (two weeks), depending on where you live. If you require expedited shipping, please contact us prior to ordering and we can give you a quote. RETURNS & EXCHANGES - items purchased ONLINE: We really love everything we sell and we want you to love it too. (-: If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, email us within a week of receiving it and then ship the item back to us and we will be happy to issue you a store credit or refund. We are not, however, able to refund shipping costs. ** Please note that this is the return policy for our online shop ONLY. Most* items purchased online may be exchanged or refunded within 7 days of receiving the item. Item must be returned unused, in original packaging and with the tags on. Item must arrive at Flock Boutique within 14 days of exchange/refund request. Shipping costs are not refundable. Any store credit/refund issued will not include shipping costs. *All sale and discounted items are final sale. Face masks, underwear, swimwear and tights are final sale items. Please consider using a trackable shipping service and/or purchasing insurance on the shipment. Exchange or refund will take place once item has been received. DAMAGED ITEMS It is rare, but items can get damaged in the post. If this happens to you, please email us within a week to let us know what has happened. In your email, please include the date the damaged item was delivered, the tracking number (if there is one) and photos of the damaged item still in the damaged packaging. This is necessary for us to process an insurance claim. HAPPINESS While we have been operating our brick and mortar shop for almost 20 years now, this is our first stab at a fully functional online store, so bear with us, there are sure to be a few hiccups long the way!
